Analyst in Unmanned Aerial Systems

We are now looking for an analyst in unmanned aerial systems for technical intelligence services. Do you have relevant experience working with technical issues related to unmanned aerial systems and want to help drive FMV's important work in technical intelligence services forward? About the Position

As an analyst, you will conduct qualified analyses and studies, lead and carry out tests and trials to map foreign ground combat forces' technical systems, focusing on the UAS area. The work involves presenting analysis results both in writing and orally, as well as conducting training and lectures in both your own and adjacent areas. The tasks are both theoretical and practical in nature and involve a great deal of variation over time. Initially, you will undergo extensive internal training in the relevant area.

The position is located in Stockholm and the work is conducted on-site, with very limited opportunities to work remotely. As travel is frequent, you need to be prepared to be vaccinated. The position may also be physically and mentally demanding, so you should be in good health.

About You

We are looking for someone with a university degree or master's degree in areas such as electronics, mechanical engineering, systems design, or another relevant field, or equivalent competence acquired in another way that we consider comparable. Furthermore, you should have current experience working with technical issues within UAS, with a good understanding of systems. You also need to have knowledge of and interest in one or more of the following areas: construction, components, sensors, communication solutions, control and propulsion systems, manufacturing procedures, or military applications. The position requires a good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing, as well as a B driver's license.

It is an advantage if you have experience in project management of smaller projects as well as experience working in various international contexts and cultures. Experience in a military environment, preferably within the intelligence field, is a plus. We view positively if you have completed military service and we would appreciate if you have language skills in Russian.

The work is performed within the framework of the government's direction of defense intelligence activities.

The land unit is responsible, among other things, for processing foreign UAS systems within the land area.
