The Community Planning Administration is responsible for the physical development of Ekerö Municipality – from planning to construction, operation, and supervision. We develop comprehensive plans and detailed plans, build schools, process building permits, manage the municipality's properties and public environments, and oversee environmental and food supervision. The administration will consist of eight units from September 1, 2025, and works on behalf of four committees.

Job Description

Do you want to take the lead in developing the municipality's strategic green planning and ensure ecologically sustainable development and well-designed public spaces? Are you also a results-oriented project manager with experience in leading work with governing documents and strategic planning materials from start to finish?

We are looking for a driven, engaged, and knowledgeable individual who will be responsible for the municipality's strategic green planning and project manage governing documents and strategic planning materials. Your first assignment in the project manager role will be to lead the development of Ekerö Municipality's new comprehensive plan.

In the green strategy work, you will develop knowledge bases and guidelines and provide expert support in the development of detailed plans as well as in the establishment and management of the municipality's public spaces. You will be a key person in the ongoing comprehensive planning and implementation of planning and development projects where ecological and nature issues, particularly regarding species protection and natural values, are in focus. Furthermore, you will represent the municipality in various collaboration forums and play a central role in handling referrals, motions, and presentations in relevant contexts. Both assignments include management, quality assurance, and follow-up of consultants and contracts.

We are looking for someone with a strong drive to develop the municipality's green issues and project manage governing documents and strategic planning materials. Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should:

• Have a relevant university degree such as a landscape architect degree
• Several years of experience in green issues at a strategic planning scale and independent project management within community building
• Experience working in or with a politically governed organization or authority
• Express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish
• Have good knowledge of green structures

We also welcome candidates who meet the following qualifications:

• Experience in green issues in detailed planning is an advantage
• Experience in commissioning and reviewing studies related to species protection and natural values is an advantage
• Good knowledge of the Environmental Code and PBL is desirable
• Designing and/or constructing new public spaces or transforming existing public spaces is an advantage
