We are now looking for a management economist to join our team.

Do you want to work closely with decision-makers and provide qualified support that makes a real difference in our development? Then this is the right position for you!

Your tasks

As an economist/controller, you will work within the economics unit, which is part of the Municipal Management Administration. The unit is responsible for the municipality's economic and operational management, budget and financial closing processes, and coordinates follow-ups and analyses. You will be an important part of providing support to the municipality's various operations.

This position has a particular focus on the Children and Youth Committee, where you as a controller provide qualified support to the Children and Youth Administration.

Your role includes, among other things:

• Budget and forecasting work
• Follow-ups and financial closing work
• Operational analyses and investigations
• Accounting issues
• Presentation of financial materials to political decision-makers, for example in the Children and Youth Committee

The work often takes place at a fast pace and requires good prioritization skills, flexibility, and a solution-oriented approach. You will work closely with other economists and have access to a network within both the municipality and the region for collaboration and development.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree in economics or equivalent
• Good knowledge of Excel and financial systems
• The ability to work both strategically and operationally – with both the big picture and details
• A structured, analytical, and development-oriented working method
• Good communication skills in speech and writing
• Good collaboration skills and a trustworthy approach towards managers and elected officials
