Information Security Coordinator at Kommunals a-kassa

Do you want a key role in a socially important organization that makes a difference for our members every day? We are now looking for an Information Security Coordinator to drive and develop information security issues at Kommunals a-kassa!

As an information security coordinator, you will be part of our dedicated IT unit, which currently consists of 10 employees.

Together, we work broadly within IT, and as an information security coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating, driving, and developing the organization's work with information security based on current legislation, policies, and guidelines. You will report to the IT and Security Manager.

As an information security coordinator, you will manage, develop, and bring to life the management system for information security (LIS). You will work at the intersection of IT, law, operations, HR, and security to ensure that information security issues are handled systematically and effectively throughout the organization.

Furthermore, you will work with both information security and data protection issues and drive work in both areas. The role also includes supporting managers and operations, as well as managing risks and ensuring compliance with data protection legislation and other external regulations. With us, you will drive issues forward and contribute to a strong and well-functioning IT function.

Your main tasks include:

• Driving, managing, and developing the management system for information security.
• Coordinating information security and data protection work – coordinating work with data protection analyses and other analyses, governance of security work, supplier management, risk management, protection of information assets, incident management, and continuity management.
• Collaborating and supporting internally, employees, and managers throughout the organization in information security and data protection issues.
• Collaborating externally with external partners, suppliers, authorities, and collaborative organizations.
• Training and educating managers and employees.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of both technical and organizational aspects of information security. You have the ability to communicate complex issues in an easily understandable way, both verbally and in writing. Furthermore, we see that you have good analytical skills and a structured approach to work. Since you will be supporting operations, it is essential that you have the ability to coordinate, drive, and create engagement within the organization.

As an information security coordinator, you are unpretentious and have good judgment, as well as the ability to handle sensitive information. It is important to us that we enjoy working together. You appreciate collaboration with your IT colleagues, are happy to share your knowledge, and support your colleagues in achieving common goals.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Relevant academic education in IT, information security, law, risk management, system science, or equivalent, or other education combined with relevant work experience.
• Experience working with information security.
• Good knowledge of legislation and regulations that affect information security (e.g., data protection legislation, OSL, administrative law).

It is also meritorious if you have:

• Experience working in or with government operations is meritorious.
• Experience implementing or managing management systems for information security is meritorious.
• Experience in project management, change work, or educational initiatives is meritorious.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 are meritorious.

About the recruitment process

The position is a permanent employment at 100% with a 6-month probationary period and a start date according to agreement. The position will be located at our new beautiful headquarters in Skanstull, Stockholm.
