Do you want to help shape the future of transport solutions through innovative system development? We are now looking for a Senior System Developer to join our Backend & Vehicle Technology team.

About the position:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with our newly developed system that handles enormous amounts of data in a cloud-based SQL database. You will be responsible for optimizing and setting up databases and will be a central part of further developing the system, which has already played an important role in Nobina's traffic technology over the past three years.

You will work with TDS – a critical system for collecting, managing, and analyzing traffic data in real-time. You will collaborate closely with the IoT team to ensure that accurate data reaches our real-time systems, which are used for maps and punctuality measurements, for example.

About you

For this role, we are looking for a person with deep expertise in databases and integration. You have a strong understanding of relational database design and are used to building solutions that are both robust, scalable, and easy to maintain.

We expect you to:

• Have worked with cloud-based database solutions, e.g., Azure SQL Database.
• Be proficient in advanced T-SQL and have solid experience with modern DML such as merge operations and CTEs and window functions in complex scripts.
• Be able to design and optimize database schemas, including normalization and data modeling based on business requirements as well as performance requirements.
• Have experience working with large datasets and optimizing database scripts for performance and readability.
• Have worked with cloud-based integration with applications or ETL flows such as Azure Data Factory.

It is a plus if you have experience with:

• Automation and CI/CD for database code.
• Understanding and applying DCL, including permission control, roles, and security aspects within the database environment.
• Working with NoSQL databases such as Azure Cosmos DB or similar.

We are looking for someone who is analytical, meticulous, and accustomed to taking overall responsibility for database and integration solutions in both new development and maintenance. You have good communication skills and can explain technical solutions to both developers and other stakeholders in the organization.
