We are looking for a Technician for the project group – Mechanics, Assembly & Manufacturing

At Quant in Ludvika, we have about 115 employees, of which the maintenance department consists of about 55 employees in various roles, including maintenance technicians (Electrical/Automation, Mechanical, Process, Project, etc.), maintenance engineers, planners/coordinators, and project managers. We perform emergency and preventive maintenance for our customer Hitachi Energy and also work to help the customer maintain and optimize machine performance at their facilities.
About the role
As a technician in our project group, you will work on both planned and ad-hoc projects within mechanics and manufacturing. You will play an important role in developing solutions, building structures, and contributing to the successful execution of our projects with high quality and precision.
Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical work in a project environment
- Machining and manufacturing of simpler mechanical structures
- Assembly work of machine parts and components
- Conduct simple technical calculations that can serve as a basis for new projects
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience in mechanical maintenance, assembly, and manufacturing
- Good understanding of reading drawings and technical documentation
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- A solution-oriented approach and an eye for detail
- Customer-oriented
Meritorious:
- Experience working in project form
- Knowledge of welding, turning, or milling
- Experience with CAD or other technical calculation tools
