We are currently looking for a dedicated and safety-conscious bus mechanic for Sälen Buss in Malung (Sälen)! Here you will work with everything from service and repairs to qualified troubleshooting and diagnostics – both independently and in a team. This is a direct recruitment and you will be employed directly by Sälen Buss. 

About the position As a mechanic, you will work with everything from service to qualified troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs. You will plan your work together with the workshop manager and our operations department. You will work both individually and in a group. The position is based in Malung.  Requirements • Option 1. You have a vocational education in vehicle technology at the high school level or equivalent work experience. Preferably in heavy vehicles. 

• Option 2. You have a vocational education in vehicle technology and documented good knowledge in working as a car mechanic/transport vehicle mechanic. 

• Ability to work independently and in a group.

• Good computer skills.

• Holds a B driving license (manual). Meritorious  • C and/or D driving license. • Experience with high-voltage buses. • AC Certification • Knowledge or familiarity with diagnostics and troubleshooting or other specialized skills.

Your profile We are looking for someone with a strong interest in vehicles and mechanics. We prefer that you have previous work experience and good references. Furthermore, we see that you are a good team player who contributes your skills to the group and that you have the ability to work independently when required. About Sälen Buss  Sälen Buss AB is a family business operating in Sälen, Malung, and Mora. We conduct both charter and scheduled traffic with about 40 buses and also have about 12 taxis. Today, there are approximately 70 employees in the company. Sälen Buss has been in the Sälen mountains since 1999. We started with tourist bus traffic and taxi services. In 2013, we expanded our operations to include lift buses and night traffic during the ski season. At the same time, we also began to run conference trips to and from the Sälen mountains. Since July 1, 2014, we have also been responsible for all scheduled traffic and school transport in the Malung-Sälen municipality. We operate all our vehicles with fossil-free diesel made from 100% renewable raw materials! Our buses are stationed in Sälen, Fiskarheden, and Malung, where our workshop and administration are also located.
