Are you passionate about creating the next generation of food products where taste, innovation, and consumer insight meet? Do you have experience as a product developer, chef, gastronomist, or food creator? Then this could be the consulting assignment for you!

We are looking for a Product Developer & Flavor Innovator for a consulting assignment with one of Sweden's fastest-growing food companies in plant-based and Asian cuisine. You will play a key role in a company that focuses on world-class innovation and taste – with the chance to work on about 10 food products for two different brands during the assignment.

Yipin – who are we?

In the fall of 2017, we started selling our first tofu product in grocery stores. Today, we are #1 in tofu and tempeh in Sweden and have an expanded product range that includes Asian sauces, noodles, and ready meals. However, our journey began more than 25 years ago when the Lu family moved from China to Sweden in 1998. That’s when we made our first Swedish tofu in our own kitchen using our great-grandmother's traditional tofu recipe. To this day, we make our tofu based on the same recipe in our own tofu factory in Vallentuna, north of Stockholm. We could never have imagined that our tofu would be sold in over 1500 grocery stores and served in trendy restaurants throughout Sweden.

Since entering the grocery market in 2017, we have been named Supplier of the Year 2024, DI Mästergasell, and won 1st prize for strategic design. For the right candidate, this is an exciting opportunity to elevate our brand and communication through digital marketing to the next level in Sweden and the Nordics.

As a consultant in product development, you will:

Develop innovative recipes and product concepts with high flavor profiles, quality, and profitability.

Create entirely new products and further develop the existing range.

Work independently when required, but also in close collaboration with project groups from e.g. marketing, purchasing, and production.

Be involved in the entire process and development chain – from idea and improvement iterations to finished product and launch.

Conduct and document tests in a structured manner with a clear focus on taste, consistency, preparation, sustainability, and consumer relevance.

Contribute insights about trends in the category and how these can be translated into commercially viable products.

We are looking for someone who:

🧑‍🍳 Has experience as a product developer, chef, or food creator from the food industry or similar.

🍽️ Has education in food, gastronomy, or another relevant field.

😋 Has a good palate and understands what consumers are looking for.

🚀 Is solution-oriented, curious, and works in a structured and self-driven manner.

🤝 Is a humble team player with great commitment and a burning interest in food and development.
