Administrative Coordinator with Technical Focus

ABOUT THE POSITION
SEK Svensk Elstandard is an organization that promotes standardization in the electrotechnical field in Sweden. They are now expanding their operations and looking for new talents in coordination, support, and membership recruitment to strengthen their existing and upcoming technical initiatives.
As a coordinator, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to various technical committees. You play a key role in attracting new stakeholders and experts to these committees and groups. Furthermore, you will be an ambassador for spreading awareness and increasing understanding of SEK Svensk Elstandard and its benefits for those participating in the standardization process.
The work mainly takes place during office hours, but will involve travel within Sweden for both fairs and outreach activities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities
- Using your technical interest and knowledge to plan, structure, and administer work and meetings within existing technical committees
- Identifying and contacting relevant companies and other stakeholders for participation in SEK's various areas of operation
- Compiling and executing technical documentation in meetings along with other administrative committee work
- Strategically planning the establishment of new groups and committees and then establishing them within new technical areas
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO
- Has a university degree in electrical engineering or similar
- Has a strong technical interest
- Has good communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish and English, as much of your work requires technical documentation
- Has good knowledge of the Office suite
It is meritorious if you have:
- A driving license (B)
- Work experience in electrical installation
- Good writing skills, as you will summarize information documents in both Swedish and English
As a person, you are good at and interested in expressing yourself verbally and in writing. You thrive in social settings and have a strong interest in technology. The ability to communicate and engage other people will be particularly valued. You feel comfortable planning and conducting meetings in both larger and smaller groups. Furthermore, you are self-driven with a strong ambition to create positive results in outreach work, where the goal is to recruit more members and experts to SEK's committee activities.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE COMPANY
SEK Svensk Elstandard (SEK) is a non-profit Swedish standardization organization with voluntary participation from Swedish authorities, schools, companies, and organizations interested in participating in the work with technical regulations in the electrotechnical field. The organization has over 800 active members and approximately 350 different companies registered. SEK works through its members and stakeholders to create good conditions for a better, safer, and more sustainable and effective Swedish electrical society through standards.
SEK is responsible for and establishes all Swedish standards in the electrotechnical field. SEK is also Sweden's representative in European standardization, CENELEC, and in international standardization, IEC.
SEK's technical activities are conducted in a committee structure that reflects the work within IEC and CENELEC, where different committees are responsible for different electrotechnical areas. Currently, SEK has over 100 committees. Each committee within SEK is open, against a committee fee, to all Swedish experts who are interested in the development work of various standards; SEK currently has over 8500 valid standards.
