RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you a curious and innovative GIS engineer with technical expertise and the ability to create strong relationships? Then you are the one we are looking for! We are seeking a GIS engineer who is passionate about GIS and wants to contribute to the municipality's community development. With us, you will have a challenging and developing workplace where you can shape the municipality's GIS together with a dedicated team.

As a GIS engineer with us, you will:

• Develop and manage the municipality's GIS platform.
• Administer the server environment for GIS.
• Create new solutions and features for various operations.
• Spread knowledge about GIS and support our users.
• Work closely with colleagues to promote the use of geographic information in Gävle.

We are currently focusing on developing and managing ArcGIS Portal.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree in GIS or equivalent education and experience.
• Good knowledge of ESRI's ArcGIS platform, including database management.
• Knowledge of FME form/flow is an advantage.
• Programming skills are a plus.

You are relationship-oriented and have the ability to build and maintain good relationships, both internally and externally. You collaborate well with people in various contexts and functions and build effective networks. You work in a structured manner, plan and organize your work well, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines. You have good problem-solving skills and find alternative solutions to emerging challenges.
