The forensic psychiatric clinic in Säter is responsible for highly specialized care at the county, regional, and national levels. We primarily care for patients referred for treatment under the law on forensic psychiatric care. Currently, we have 78 care places divided into 7 departments. Working in forensic psychiatry is both developing and interesting. With us, you will have a meaningful job where you work with the whole person and can make a difference. At the forensic psychiatric clinic, there is an ongoing improvement project regarding the care process and the introduction of more care and treatment interventions, which you will play a significant role in guiding, developing, and organizing.

The mission of forensic psychiatry is:

• to increase the patient's health/quality of life and create the right conditions to prevent recidivism.
• to ensure that the patient accepts and voluntarily participates in care and treatment.
• to tailor care individually based on the patient's needs for support in managing their daily life/illness, which benefits the patient's recovery.

The department staff works in care teams where the nurse has a leading role. You will thus have the main responsibility for care planning and creating structure together with the contact persons in the department, as well as initiating various daily activities and care follow-ups.

The care team collaborates with the clinic's treatment team consisting of; social worker, responsible for forensic psychiatric care, physiotherapist, treatment assistant, rehabilitation assistant, psychologist, occupational therapist, and addiction counselor. The team works towards common goals to provide patients with skills that promote a sustainable life outside the institution. Once a week, rounds are conducted together with the treatment team, and semi-annually, a care planning session is held for each patient aimed at achieving the goal of sustainable reintegration into society.

We are looking for someone who:

• is a licensed nurse
• has good collaboration skills and wants to work in a team with the patient as a co-actor.
• is interested in working with care and treatment interventions for patients.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. We are flexible regarding the degree of employment.

Interviews will be conducted continuously during the application period. Before employment, extracts from the criminal record and the Enforcement Authority will be requested, and you will undergo a drug test.

This position requires that you have a valid license for the relevant profession. Your professional license will be checked against the National Board of Health and Welfare's register of licensed healthcare professionals (HOSP) before any job offer.
