Personal Assistant Needed in Hammarby Sjöstad

Hello!

I am an elderly man with an acquired brain injury that has resulted in several disabilities, and therefore I have a significant need for assistance. However, my brain injury has not affected my cognitive abilities; I am fully capable of making my own decisions. My assistants compensate for my disabilities as my "hands and feet" even though my care needs are substantial. I require help around the clock with all daily activities, from personal care to household chores. I live with my wife in an accessible apartment in Hammarby Sjöstad. My interests include technology, sports, cooking, and crossword puzzles. I also enjoy day trips in the Stockholm area or the archipelago.

You who are applying for a job with me can be either a man or a woman, preferably over 30 years old with a driver's license. As a person, you should be flexible, easy-going, attentive, and have great patience. Since I need help communicating due to speech difficulties, you need to be fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written. Smokers are discouraged, and you cannot be allergic to pets since a dog may be present in the home.

Experience with transfer techniques (using lifts) and PEG is advantageous. Similarly, we want you to understand the importance of personal integrity and have a respectful approach to working in someone else's home. You will receive an introduction to the job and get to know me and my routines before working independently.

We are now looking for staff who can start immediately. The need is primarily during days/evenings on weekdays and weekends. There is an opportunity for fixed part-time hours (50-70%) if it feels right for both of us.
