Within the health and medical care administration, primary care, dental care, and hospital care are gathered in a common administration and organized into regional and local healthcare areas. In the local healthcare area of Skellefteå, the Emergency Department, Center for Surgical Operations, Medical and Geriatric Clinic, Rehabilitation Center, Psychiatric Clinic, and primary care in Skellefteå and Norsjö are included. Together, these aim to provide good and close care.

The Psychiatric Clinic, which consists of about 250 employees, provides both outpatient and inpatient care, as well as psychiatric compulsory care. The outpatient care includes an Emergency and Assessment Unit, where eating disorder services and the SPOT program are included, two adult clinics targeting individuals aged 26 and above, the Young Adults clinic targeting ages 18-25, as well as a medical unit, MBT team, and an elderly team. The inpatient care consists of a general psychiatric ward and an addiction ward with an associated detoxification unit. The addiction care also includes an outpatient clinic, LARO clinic, and a dual diagnosis team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now seeking registered nurses for the addiction ward. The responsibilities will include working with various nursing tasks such as medication administration, sample collection, assessments, conversations (e.g., motivational interviewing and relapse prevention), and being a contact person for a number of patients.

As a nurse with us, you will have a broad nursing perspective with the patient at the center. You will work closely with other staff within the unit, relatives, and healthcare partners.

We offer you an individually tailored onboarding based on your needs, with continuous follow-up after the introductory period. We want everyone to feel secure in their work role and will do what it takes for you to feel safe. Therefore, we have a dedicated mentoring program at the clinic where we appoint an experienced nurse to be a mentor for you as a new employee.

QUALIFICATIONS

Registered nurse, further education in psychiatry, and experience in addiction care are advantageous.

Valuable qualities in you include teamwork ability, flexibility, and the ability to work both independently and in a team. You are interested in improvement work and have a strategic ability to meet the expectations that the dual diagnosis investigation will entail.
