Rehabilitation Coordinator for Stress Rehab

Region Västerbotten works to ensure that good health and sustainable development strengthen each other. We take responsibility for equitable welfare and ensure that research and innovation yield results.

The Occupational and Behavioral Medicine Center (AB-centrum) is a university healthcare unit whose overall mission is to prevent, investigate, assess, and address work, environmental, and lifestyle-related health issues. We also have an insurance medicine mission. AB-centrum is one of the largest research and development operations in Region Västerbotten, with research and teaching conducted in close collaboration with Umeå University.

AB-centrum is organized into four departments: Occupational and Environmental Medicine, Behavioral Medicine, Stress Rehabilitation, and Insurance Medical Investigation Unit.

Within Stress Rehabilitation, patients with burnout syndrome are assessed, treated, and rehabilitated. The goal is to improve the patient's health, function, and work capacity. The department employs over 20 staff members from various professions. The operations are conducted in Umeå and Skellefteå.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a rehabilitation coordinator in Stress Rehab, you assist both the patient and their employer in planning the return to work or increasing work effort. You conduct conversations to set goals and follow up on the return to work. You coordinate contacts with other healthcare providers, employers, the Social Insurance Agency, and the Employment Agency.

You also work preventively by providing education, information, and advice. Administrative tasks and quality work are included in your role, and you may also participate in various research and development projects. The job involves both independent work and teamwork with multiple professional groups. Occasionally, you may receive tasks from other departments within AB-centrum, and the work may involve travel within the region.

We prefer that you have experience with patients suffering from stress-related mental health issues and experience with motivational interviewing and work rehabilitation.
