The primary goal and task of the Surgical Center Umeå is to provide highly specialized and high-quality care and research for patients within the northern healthcare region. The clinic is divided into the sections of urology, breast, endocrine, vascular, colorectal, and upper gastrointestinal surgery, which are conducted in both outpatient and inpatient care. The care at the Surgical Center is characterized by a holistic approach where many different professional categories are engaged and collaborate for the best results.

In collaboration with Umeå University, we also conduct successful research with both clinical and preclinical focus. Internal training and lectures are part of the opportunities offered to promote development within your professional field.

We are now looking for a junior doctor for a temporary position in our colorectal team at the Surgical Center in Umeå. The position is tailored for those who wish for a temporary role before the upcoming AT (general service).

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a junior doctor with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that makes people feel secure.

The position mainly involves work on the ward with rounds and handling admissions and discharges. Some outpatient work may occur. If necessary, you may serve in other sections within the clinic for shorter periods to ensure staffing and maintain good care.

QUALIFICATIONS

You must have completed and passed the 9th term of the medical program.

We place great importance on personal qualities. You should be a secure and stable person with good self-awareness. You find it easy to collaborate and interact with others in a considerate and respectful manner. Furthermore, we see that you have a good ability to make correct assessments and priorities, where you can weigh complex information and show good judgment in your decisions and actions.

We require good knowledge of the Swedish language at level C1.
