Social Services, Adult Support Unit

The Adult Support Unit is tasked with investigating and deciding on various types of interventions primarily under the Social Services Act.

You will work on-site in our municipal building in Vaxholm. Here, you are close to beautiful walking paths, public transport, and good parking opportunities. There is also the possibility of remote work. 

As a social worker, you will investigate and handle cases related to substance abuse, gambling addiction, and dependency care. You will work with investigations, assessments, and follow-ups according to SoL and LVM. ASI and treatment interventions are also part of the work. Collaboration with internal and external actors is important, as well as assisting with other cases within the authority. You will also, to some extent, investigate and handle cases within social psychiatry with investigations, assessments, and follow-ups according to SoL and LVM.

In a small organization, you will have the opportunity to work with all tasks related to authority operations. You will, of course, participate in the continuous improvement work and goal-setting within the department.

As an employee of Vaxholm Municipality, you may be assigned to work in the city during emergencies. 

Workload: Full-time, 39.5 hours/week.

Start date: As soon as possible by agreement.

Qualifications

You are a trained social worker. Experience in authority operations, working with the target group, ASI, and knowledge of legislation in the area is advantageous. If you also have knowledge of the operational system LifeCare, we see it as a plus.

Some of the qualities we value are that you have a good ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing, the ability to see new opportunities, and the ability to take personal responsibility and work independently and systematically. You are confident and curious about other people and skilled at building relationships and creating networks. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
