The Swedish Police Authority is Sweden's largest authority with approximately 40,000 employees, of which the IT department consists of over 1,200 employees responsible for all IT provided by the authority. The main task of the IT department is to provide IT services to the entire Police Authority. The IT department is an important part of crime prevention and law enforcement work, and IT is one of the most important tools for streamlining the police and increasing the quality of police work. The IT department develops and modernizes the police's IT, and the authority invests heavily in strengthening the department with new specialist skills and the latest technology for the benefit of citizens and employees in the police operations.

Intelligence, border, and international systems have overall responsibility for the development and lifecycle management of the system support for the police's intelligence service, entry and border control, alerts, border surveillance, and passenger flows, as well as international cooperation. Intelligence, border, and international systems are also responsible for international coordination within IT and for systems for language & text analysis.

Job Description

As a technical product specialist / management leader, you will act as an expert for our products, both in-house developed and procured standard products. You will also provide support to product owners and project leaders in matters related to further development and lifecycle management, and act as an escalation point during troubleshooting and in connection with operational issues. The role also includes close collaboration with other technical experts within the IT department's operations and infrastructure unit.

Examples of tasks include:

• Proactive collaboration with the business regarding needs and needs analysis
• Drive configuration and customization of the standard system/application
• Development and maintenance activities of capabilities and environments related to, among other things, integrations, troubleshooting, corrections, and documentation.
• Collaborate with suppliers on maintenance, improvement, and further development measures
• Conduct tests and ensure that deliveries from subcontractors meet set requirements

We are located in modern premises centrally in Kungsholmen. As an employee of the Police IT, you have the opportunity to work from home up to two days a week.

Qualifications

This is an opportunity for you who have:

• Relevant post-secondary education in IT, or equivalent acquired competence that the Police Authority assesses as equivalent
• Experience in independently planning, structuring, and driving assignments, as well as managing multiple stakeholders and external suppliers
• Relevant work experience, recently, in a complex IT environment, for example as an application specialist, system administrator, technical project manager, or similar
• Good technical competence in relevant areas for the position, especially regarding Windows Server, IT security, networks, and integrations
• Very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in English

The employment requires Swedish citizenship.

Meritorious

The following are particularly meritorious:

• Professional experience and competence in participating in deployments and implementing changes and updates of IT systems, especially with a focus on Windows environments
• Good competence in working according to CI/CD flow, preferably with good competence in Octopus Deploy or similar tools
• Good competence in Linux and having worked on implementing changes and updates of IT systems in a Linux environment

The following are also meritorious:

• Professional experience in databases and logging
• Competence in container systems, preferably Docker
