Job Description

The Vehicle Division is responsible for our client's vehicle fleet throughout its lifecycle and must ensure timely delivery of complete and clean trains to traffic. This involves long-term development and maintenance of the client's vehicle fleet, ensuring the right vehicle quality (complete, clean, and safe trains) in a cost-effective manner, ensuring efficient production of maintenance and depot services, and ensuring that the client's vehicles are compatible with the infrastructure.

The project is procuring new regional vehicles to strengthen their fleet and secure the future of our traffic. The construction phase is nearing its end, and the focus will soon shift to validation. The purpose of the assignment is to assist the vehicle team with technical issues related to onboard and land-based IT systems.

As a System Engineer IT, you will be part of the technology team and report to the technical project manager. As a System Engineer IT, you will follow up on the supplier's delivery to verify and validate the requirements set in the IT area for systems both onboard and on land. The assignment also includes handing over the project's technical solutions to the management organization.

Responsibilities:

• Review the supplier's compliance with requirements for IT systems such as IP networks, CCTV, passenger counting, WiFi, TCMS, signaling systems, and communication with the land side.
• Plan, witness, and conduct validation tests both locally onboard the vehicles and also related to the land side.
• Review and validate user documentation.
• Anchor solutions with relevant internal stakeholders such as IT management and system users.
• Conduct technical investigations prior to internal decisions.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Technical engineering education or equivalent acquired education/competence.
• Technical generalist competence and very high competence in IT systems for rail vehicles. At least 5 years of experience.
• Experience from working on delivery projects within the rail vehicle industry. At least 5 years of experience.
• Planning and execution of tests of IT systems. At least 5 years of experience.
• Experience in structured requirements management in e.g. Polarion, HP ALM/QC, DOORS, or equivalent. At least 5 years of experience.
• Fluent in both Swedish and English, spoken and written.

Desirable Requirements:

• Experience working as a client within the rail vehicle industry.
• Fluent in Spanish, spoken and written.
