About the assignment
The Stora Projekt business area is responsible for some of Sweden's most extensive and technically complex infrastructure projects. The assignment concerns the Norrbotniabanan – a new railway line of 270 kilometers between Umeå and Luleå. The project is being carried out in several phases simultaneously, with both design and production work ongoing. The client organization consists of approximately 250 people distributed across offices in Luleå, Skellefteå, and Umeå.

About the role
The role involves leading and coordinating logging work in preparation for upcoming land and construction contracts. You will work closely with the project manager, prepare tender documents, lead contractors, and ensure that logging is carried out according to schedule, budget, and requirements. The role is operational, responsibility-heavy, and central to the project's preparatory phase.

Your responsibilities include, among others:

• Lead and coordinate the logging work with a focus on time, cost, and content.
• Develop logging plans and ensure necessary permits.
• Prepare tender documents and participate in the procurement of contracts and construction managers.
• Lead contractors, hold meetings, and represent Trafikverket in project and supplier matters.
• Coordinate the sale of logged timber and act as the contact person for forestry companies.
• Manage risks, occupational safety issues, and approve invoices.
• Conduct field inventories, document damages, and assess timber.
• Plan and follow up on reforestation.
• Contribute to good relationships with external stakeholders and transfer knowledge internally.

Mandatory requirements
All requirements must be clearly stated in the CV, including periods, assignments, scope, and responsibilities.

1. Ability to express oneself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
2. Degree from a university or equivalent education or work experience deemed equivalent by Trafikverket.
3. Documented knowledge/experience of logging issues in larger infrastructure projects. Verified via CV and at least one approved reference assignment.
4. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a leading position, e.g., as a supervisor, project leader, or equivalent roles.
5. Documented knowledge/experience in timber valuation. Verified via at least one approved reference assignment.
6. Documented education/experience in contract law (AB/ABT).
7. Documented education in BAS-P/BAS-U and the client's occupational safety responsibility (must be completed before the assignment starts).
8. Driving license B.

Assignment information
The assignment is to start no later than February 1, 2026, for a duration of 24 months from the date the contract comes into effect.

Option: The client has the unilateral option to extend the contract with existing contractual terms for an additional 12 months.

Scope: Estimated occupancy rate for the assignment is 90-95 percent with an annual working time of 1,700 hours.

The consultant's place of work is Luleå, Skellefteå, or Umeå. The consultant is responsible for having access to a company car or equivalent as travel for work is required.
