Our Operations

The Department of Infectious Diseases has a regional and county-wide responsibility for specialized infectious disease care with both outpatient and inpatient services for residents within and outside the county. The clinic conducts a large emergency operation with its own primary care line available around the clock. We have a ward where we care for patients with severe infectious diseases. We also have an extensive consulting assignment throughout the hospital. The specialty of infectious diseases constitutes a defined area of knowledge that requires special competence in the care of severe infectious diseases.

Your Mission

As a junior doctor with us, you will primarily work as a primary care physician in our emergency operations or as a ward junior doctor. As a university clinic, we participate extensively in the education of medical students. As a primary care physician, teaching and supervision of medical students and resident doctors is included in the daily work. You will always have close access to good supervision from experienced colleagues.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a licensed physician with a particular interest in infectious medicine. Previous experience in infection and emergency care is an advantage, as is experience in teaching and research.

Your Competence

Attributes such as a flexible working style and resilience to stress are highly valued.

Of course, you always have the patient in focus with a good ability to communicate your clinical assessments and decisions with colleagues, other staff, patients, and relatives. Teaching and research experience is advantageous, as is experience in leadership and change management. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability and good collaboration skills.

The position is advantageous for potential future residency positions with us.

We Offer

Fixed-term employment for up to 12 months starting in February-May 2026. Full-time. The position includes on-call duties (day, evening, night, weekend) as well as teaching medical students and resident doctors.
