We are now looking for a Coordinator/Administrator for the PO Norrbotten Office located in Luleå. The Swedish Police Authority is Sweden's largest authority with approximately 40,000 employees across the country. The North Police Region has over 2,000 employees and consists of four police areas: Jämtland, Norrbotten, Västerbotten, and Västernorrland, which are divided into 12 local police areas.

Each police area has an office that supports the police area manager and the four local police areas, investigation section, dog group, and intervention group. The office's tasks include preparing questions from national and regional levels, compiling information from the entire police area, and preparing decision materials. The office is a cohesive function within the police area.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a coordinator at the PO Norrbotten Office, you will work in a versatile manner, meaning you will handle and prepare questions that come to the Police Office from NOA, the regional office, or from other units in police operations. You will participate in management meetings and should also be able to lead these meetings if necessary. In this role, you will also work in a coordinating capacity where you collaborate with external actors and authorities, representing the police area in various matters. In your role as a coordinator, you should also be able to participate in special events. The work as a coordinator also includes:

  • Handling referrals, correspondence, and preparation materials
  • Overall responsibility for various development assignments
  • Being project responsible if applicable
  • Handling risk assessments if applicable
  • Operational follow-up
  • Training and strategic competence supply
  • Self-checks
  • Local and investment issues

QUALIFICATIONS

This is an opportunity for you who:

  • are a police officer according to the Ordinance (2014:1105) on training to become a police officer or have another academic degree, alternatively other education combined with work experience that the employer deems relevant for the position
  • have work experience in administration, planning, or processing that the employer deems relevant for the position
  • have good knowledge of Swedish and English
  • have good knowledge of the Office package

It is meritorious if you also:

  • have work experience in handling and preparing cases that the employer deems relevant for the position
  • have experience working broadly with different types of cases that the employer deems relevant for the position
  • have work experience within a government agency and/or public operations
  • have work experience in project management or similar
  • are a police officer according to the Ordinance (2014:1105) on training to become a police officer or have an academic degree in law or political science, or similar education that the employer deems relevant for the position.

Personal Qualities

As a person, you are service-oriented and have a flexible approach as well as the ability to adapt. You are structured, can prioritize, and have good planning skills as you handle multiple cases simultaneously. Furthermore, you are responsible, can work independently and take initiative, and drive your work forward. Likewise, you can collaborate with others and possess good communication skills as you have many contact points, both internally and externally. Being analytical and solution-oriented is highly valued.
