Arjeplog Municipality is now seeking a Community Planner for a project employment until December 31, 2028.

As a Community Planner with us, you will work with various planning and implementation issues throughout all stages of the planning process, contributing to the realization of Arjeplog Municipality's development in both urban and rural areas.

Your tasks will include working with comprehensive plans, leading and driving detailed planning projects from planning decision to adoption, referral work, and other municipal plans where your expertise is relevant.

The work also includes providing advice and service to our citizens and stakeholders, as well as making decisions in administrative matters. We offer a workplace where the development of the municipality is in focus, where results, engagement, and a positive atmosphere have a given place.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has studied to become a physical planner, community planner, urban planner, or equivalent. We wish for you to have several years of relevant professional experience as we are looking for someone who has good experience in driving their own planning projects from application to legal force, and a strong understanding of how such a process works. You are well-versed in the Planning and Building Act and the Environmental Code, as well as laws and regulations related to these. You are accustomed to working with GIS and other relevant software, and experience with ArcMap and EDP Vision is an advantage.

As a person, you can work relatively independently, structured, and have an overarching perspective on planning. Since we are large in area but have few inhabitants, it is also important to have a rural perspective.
