A Job That Counts!

With us, you contribute to a well-functioning society for the public and businesses.

Our newly formed unit needs to grow with additional lawyers to work with qualified legal matters in various areas of law.

About the Job

In the unit, we work, among other things, with a simplified court procedure, where we decide on cases regarding payment orders and assistance instead of the court. We also work with the enforceability review of judgments and decisions, as well as handling cases concerning corrections, blocking, and deletion of data in the authority's operational databases.

Your workday is varied. You will work in several different areas of law; including procedural law, property and tenancy law, contract law, consumer law, family law, corporate law, and enforcement law. You will handle cases regarding special assistance, conduct legal investigations, and write statements to courts and other authorities. The work involves many external contacts both in writing and by phone. In addition, you will provide legal support to case handlers in several units within the department. This means that you, in a coaching role, need to be prepared to quickly handle and respond to various types of questions.

Everyone who works at the Enforcement Authority contributes to the fight against crime. Your tasks include identifying and preventing attempts at criminal activity and notifying other authorities about suspected crimes. As a lawyer, you can, for example, counter fictitious claims in applications for payment orders, thereby preventing welfare crimes from being committed.

Possible locations for the position may be Luleå, Umeå, Östersund, Gävle, Uddevalla, and Visby. Currently, this is where the unit's lawyers and enforcement officers are located.

About You

As an employee at the Enforcement Authority, you are expected to live up to our employee policy (https://www.kronofogden.se/jobba-hos-oss/medarbetarpolicy). You take initiative, are engaged, and take responsibility for achieving goals. You contribute to the development of the organization and help your colleagues succeed. You meet others with respect, kindness, and actively listen to others, showing a positive attitude.

You work results-oriented, show decisiveness, and focus on what needs to be achieved. You are stable, have high integrity, and are trustworthy in meetings with people in vulnerable situations. You communicate easily and act in a trustworthy and pedagogical manner when interacting with clients. You have an analytical ability that means you see connections and find the most effective solution. You adapt to the circumstances and the changes that occur.

Your Qualifications:

  • degree from the law program with at least 270 credits (180 credits according to the old system)
  • notarial qualification

It is desirable that you have current work experience in legal advice or relevant work experience from an authority.

About Us

The Enforcement Authority is a government agency with an important mission. We work closely with people in vulnerable situations. We help those who have not been paid and guide those who need to pay. We provide citizens and businesses with information and good service so that they can make long-term and sustainable decisions. This requires knowledge, decisiveness, care, and courage. We contribute to a well-functioning society for the public and businesses – a society where debts and other claims are established and collected in a legally secure manner.

With us, you can expect challenging tasks that are also developing for you. When you leave work at the end of the day, you can be sure that you have done something that truly counts – both for others and for yourself.

Good to Know

The employment is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period. You will be employed as a lawyer. The Enforcement Authority offers the possibility of remote work by agreement with the employer.

Working in the government means that you follow the government value base. There are also special requirements for judgment, security awareness, and compliance with applicable laws. We ask questions during the interview about any previous criminal activity and shortcomings in previous employment. For final candidates, these questions are also asked to referees. We also gather information about debts registered with the Enforcement Authority, bankruptcy, and business prohibitions. Any information obtained is weighed in the overall assessment of your suitability for the current position.

An employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
