Social Worker with Focus on School Collaboration/SIP Coordinator
Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone living here today and in the future. We are now looking for you who want to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.
Bromma's district administration offers you a workplace where your efforts can truly make a difference and contribute to the community benefit in a growing district. Here, active employee participation and clear leadership are the foundation for a developing operation.
Welcome to us
With us, you will find competent colleagues who always support each other and know that laughter makes work more enjoyable.
Bromma's district administration offers an attractive workplace with competent employees, a positive work environment, and a reasonable workload. We actively work on how you as an employee experience your work environment while focusing on development. Children's participation is a central part of our work, and we have several children's rights representatives responsible for monitoring children's rights. The unit is part of the Department of Social Services and Leisure.
The reception unit is part of the Area of Children and Youth. The area is led by an area manager and is divided into four units. The reception unit consists of two groups with a total of 1 unit manager, 1 administrative assistant, 15 social workers, and 2 group leaders.
The unit is undergoing exciting changes where, in addition to reception work and work with quick investigations, we are hiring several new functions related to the new social services law, where we work more proactively and preventively. The unit is part of First Line Social Services, which is an initiative to get closer to our target groups and offer earlier interventions. The introduction of first-line social services is the first step in a long-term development effort of Bromma's social services.
We offer
We offer you wellness benefits, the opportunity for vacation exchange, and flexible working hours. Some remote work is possible when the job allows it. As a new employee with us, you will receive a good introduction from our mentor, regardless of your previous experience in the profession. We have an introduction plan that is regularly followed up during your first time with us, and we offer you close supervision with good opportunities for development.
We within the Area of Children and Youth in Bromma:
- Actively participate in the transition to the new social services law through participation in NUSO (national follow-up of the social services transition).
- Participate in several collaboration forms with internal and external actors, such as police, healthcare, and schools/kindergartens.
- Regularly follow up on your social work environment through "Bromma Conversations".
- Offer external supervision.
- Opportunity for further education at both basic and advanced levels.
Your role
We are now looking for a social worker with a focus on school collaboration/SIP coordinator, where the assignment is divided into 50% each. The role is part of first-line social services with a focus on preventive and proactive work, as well as more coordinated individualized support for Bromma's children and families.
As a social worker with a focus on school collaboration, you will work with the municipal primary schools in Bromma. The role includes, among other things:
- Informing school staff, students, and parents about social services.
- Collaboration with the student health team.
- Advice and support conversations with students and parents raised in the student health team.
- Collaboration with BUP/LSS to guide/help students/parents to the right support.
- Support to the school on how to handle/make concern reports.
SIP Coordinator
Coordinated Individual Plan (SIP) is a plan that should be established when someone needs interventions from social services and healthcare. The plan clarifies who does what. SIP aims to ensure cooperation between the main parties so that everyone, regardless of age and problems, can have their needs met by care and support.
In the role of SIP coordinator, you will:
- Prepare and call for SIP meetings at the request of social workers.
- Participate in and lead SIP meetings.
- Ensure that relevant actors follow the established plan.
- Provide support to social workers regarding the need for SIP.
Our wish for you is that you:
- Have a strong child and youth perspective.
- Are responsible, flexible, and stable.
- Have good empathetic abilities and can create good collaborative relationships.
- Are structured and secure in your professional role.
- Work independently by planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work well.
- Are used to leading larger meetings with different actors.
Your competence and experience
- Completed degree in social work.
- Have good knowledge of applicable legislation.
- Experience of authority exercise for children and youth.
- Experience of preventive work and building and maintaining collaboration.
- Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing, as the work involves some documentation even in non-benefit assessed interventions according to the new social services law.
It is important that you find it easy to work independently, but at the same time have an interest in participating in the unit's competence development and work community.
We will begin the selection process during the application period, and interviews may be conducted continuously. In the recruitment, we will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
If you want to make a difference, you are welcome to submit your application! The City of Stockholm works with competency-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's competencies and thereby counteracting discrimination.
To work for the City of Stockholm with the elderly and people with disabilities in their homes, you must provide an extract from the criminal record. The extract must not be older than 6 months from the date of issue.
