About the position 

We at Bonzi are now looking for 2 new colleagues who want to work part-time, approximately 40%, as personal assistants for our child client who lives in Älvsjö with their family.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, and during meals
  • Playing
  • Accompanying on activities

The position involves shifts scheduled as follows:

  • 4:00 PM - 8:00 AM Weekdays sleeping on duty (6.5 hours waiting time)
  • 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM Weekends
  • 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM Weekends sleeping on duty (6.5 hours waiting time)

About the client:

The boy is around 10 years old and needs your help as an assistant in his daily life due to a visual and hearing impairment as well as an intellectual disability. He is also non-verbal and requires assistants who are responsive to his way of communicating. The boy enjoys swimming in the pool, visiting play centers, and playing outside.

Are you the one we are looking for: You are a person with a strong sense of responsibility and sensitivity towards children with disabilities. For the boy to thrive with you, you need to be a positive, warm, secure, and attentive person with a lot of patience. 

Additionally, we would like you to be a creative and active person who enjoys finding activities to do together with the boy. You have an easy time reading situations and can stay one step ahead.

It is an advantage if you have:

  •  Professional experience working with children with disabilities 
  •  Experience with alternative communication such as TAKK
  •  Experience with sign language support
  •  Experience as a personal assistant or in healthcare and social care

Requirements:

  • Must be able to swim and tolerate chlorine
  • Non-smoker (during work shifts)

Scope:  2 part-time positions 40%

Start date: Interviews are conducted continuously and can be filled before the application deadline.

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other compensations in accordance with collective agreements.

To work as a personal assistant, escort, or respite caregiver, you must be at least 18 years old.
