Unit Manager for the Care Administration

About us

The Care Administration has approximately 2,000 employees who care for the municipality's elderly and people with some form of disability. Together, we create safe and quality care – work that makes a difference for people every day!

The unit for staffing and recruitment is a support function within the department for Quality and Development. We support managers within the Care Administration with recruitment, restructuring, schedule planning, staffing during short-term absences, and planning home care. The Care Administration is in an exciting time of development to meet the future welfare needs. In this restructuring work, our unit is an important partner in the continued progress. As a support function, our goal is to provide professional and valuable support. We work to create efficient processes and long-term solutions that strengthen the entire organization.

Currently, Trollhättan City is actively working on implementing trust-based governance and leadership – where trust, participation, and innovation drive us to achieve our common goals.

About the role

Together with your managerial colleague, you will share the responsibility for the unit, which means close collaboration but with a clear division of tasks. Your role includes leading employees in recruitment, vacancy management, and administration. You will also have personnel responsibility for hourly workers and pool employees.

Your responsibilities include:

  • overall responsibility for personnel, finances, quality, and work environment
  • leading and supporting operational work
  • ensuring efficient and quality-assured processes
  • working strategically with development and improvement efforts
  • inspiring and developing employees
  • monitoring the external environment and contributing new perspectives

You report directly to the quality manager of the administration and are part of the management group for Quality and Development.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with an academic degree, preferably in human resources, behavioral science, or organizational science, or another relevant field deemed equivalent by the employer. You have documented managerial experience with good results and are accustomed to leading development and change efforts. Experience as a manager in municipal operations is an advantage. We also prefer that you have good knowledge of staffing, recruitment, and labor law. You are a proficient user of various systems and have a good ability to communicate and express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. A B driver's license is an advantage.
