Frontend Developer at Boplats Väst

The requirements for Boplats today are not the same as yesterday.

To meet the needs of the future, we are undergoing an exciting journey where we are increasing the development pace of our digital service. Therefore, we are looking for someone who wants to be part of our growing team and drive the development of Boplats Väst with a focus on frontend development in React and Next.js.

What does the role entail?

As a frontend developer at Boplats Väst, you will play a central role in our product team. You will develop and further enhance our user interfaces and web applications, in close collaboration with our backend developers, UX designers, and product owners.

Together, we work to create a digital platform that is intuitive, accessible, and future-proof – both technically and from a user perspective.

Your main responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the frontend part of our applications in React and Next.js.
• Implement new features and components based on design and UX prototypes.
• Collaborate with the backend team to integrate APIs and ensure a seamless user experience.
• Participate in technical decisions, contribute to improving architecture and development processes.
• Ensure high performance, accessibility, and code quality through testing and code reviews.
• Stay updated on new frontend technologies and contribute to continuous improvement.

What are we looking for in you?

• 5+ years of experience with React and preferably Next.js
• Good understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
• Experience with API integrations and version control
• Knowledge of accessibility (WCAG) and user-centered design
• Experience working in agile teams and contributing to common goals
• Experience testing frontend applications, preferably unit tests with Jest or similar frameworks.
• Experience with E2E testing, preferably with Playwright or similar.

Desirable experiences

• Experience in .NET environments
• Knowledge of CMS solutions, preferably Umbraco
• Experience with component libraries
• Experience with CI/CD flows and modern DevOps culture
