The IT department is tasked with developing and managing overarching and common processes for the area. It is also responsible for services within these parts. Our operations are mainly located in Sundsvall, Härnösand, Örnsköldsvik, and Sollefteå.

The mission of the IT department is to deliver high-quality and secure IT services to the region's operations. Deliveries are made through projects, management, and support to a complex and life-giving operation. IT also works extensively as a commissioning organization since the region's IT operations are managed by an external provider.

Approximately 80 people work within IT, all with varying backgrounds and experiences. We strive for an open work climate where we help each other develop. We are now looking for a technical project manager for the IT department. The position is a permanent full-time employment with start date according to agreement.

Project Manager for the IT Department, Region Västernorrland

Responsibilities

We are looking for a technical IT project manager who will play a central role in leading and delivering our IT projects. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects according to schedule and budget, as well as ensuring that the projects meet our high-quality standards. You will work with:

• Leading project teams and collaborating with various departments to ensure successful project deliveries
• Developing and following up project plans, timelines, and budgets
• Identifying and managing risks and solving problems that may arise during the project
• Regularly communicating with stakeholders and keeping them informed about the project's progress
• Ensuring that projects meet technical requirements and quality standards
• Driving projects according to our established project management model PPS

Additional Information

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who

• Has a post-secondary education in the IT field, or equivalent knowledge from work experience or comparable qualifications
• Has experience leading technical IT projects in the public sector
• Has good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Has a valid driver's license (B)
