The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements closed youth care. We do this in youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse across the country. With us at SiS, your work life will be an exciting challenge. SiS LVM home Hessleby, located in a beautiful forest environment just outside Mariannelund, receives men with alcohol, drug, or mixed substance abuse. We have special expertise in receiving clients with mental health issues or outwardly aggressive behavior. We are tasked with providing care for clients with special care needs.

We are now looking for a nurse to join our health and medical care team!

As a nurse at SiS LVM home Hessleby, you collaborate with other professionals in an important societal mission to help the most vulnerable. Your expertise is sought after and valued here. You are part of our health and medical care organization and work across all our departments. The health and medical care organization consists of nurses, psychologists, and doctors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

With us, you will have the opportunity to contribute to good care and treatment at both the individual and group level through individual contacts and by educating and guiding treatment staff in health and medical care issues. Additionally, you will perform assessments of our clients' physical and mental health based on your professional role. You will be responsible for medication administration, participate in rounds with doctors, contribute to treatment planning and interdisciplinary team meetings, and collaborate with external actors.

Other common tasks include documentation, coordination of care interventions, health conversations, and consultation and advice in health and medical care issues for our clients. You work closely with other professionals in the institution, such as management and department staff, which requires good collaboration skills.

As a new employee at SiS, you will undergo SiS basic training.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform the job effectively, we see the following requirements:

  • You are a licensed nurse, preferably with a few years of professional experience in addiction care or psychiatric care.
  • You have a good ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, be flexible, and at the same time be thorough. Since the work involves collaboration with different professional categories, good collaboration skills and an understanding of various professions are prerequisites. Additionally, you are structured and have a very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing. Being a colleague who shares knowledge and contributes to a sense of community at SiS are other qualities that make you interesting.

The work places high demands on personal suitability, especially regarding interaction.

Experience with the TakeCare journal system is an advantage.

You should also have:

  • A valid driver's license (B)
  • Good Swedish language skills in speech and writing

Employment:

The position is a permanent full-time employment and begins with a six-month probationary period.

Start date according to agreement.

Working hours:

Daytime, Mon-Fri.
