Randstad Digital is now seeking a junior software engineer for a consulting assignment with a leading provider in the energy and technology sector.

As a junior software engineer, your primary role will be to design, develop, and implement software solutions and control systems for fuel cell components and systems. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the functionality, performance, and reliability of our products through innovative software design and robust control strategies.

Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who is at the beginning of their career and wants to develop in a high-tech environment. We see that you have the following:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering Physics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or equivalent skills acquired through relevant experience and/or education.
• Experience in software development and control system design, gained either through work or relevant study projects.
• Experience with C/C++ and Python.
• Experience with MATLAB and Simulink for system modeling and control algorithm development.
• Communication protocols such as CAN and Modbus.
• Practical experience interacting with hardware, including configuration and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to optimize software and control algorithms.
• Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English.

Qualifications

• Design and development of embedded software for control systems, ensuring functionality, efficiency, and reliability.
• Integration of software modules with hardware components and conducting extensive testing to validate functionality and performance.
• Develop and maintain the internal code generation platform to support efficient software development workflows.
• Design and implement standalone software applications to complement and enhance system functionality.
• Collaboration with customers, external partners, and component suppliers to ensure technical requirements are met and solutions are optimized.
• Prepare technical documentation, including software specifications, test plans, and validation reports. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, such as: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, AS9100, and internal quality processes.
• Deployment and field testing of developed systems to validate performance and functionality.
• Provide technical sales support and contribute to concept development for new projects.
• Drive and manage small projects or work packages, ensuring timely delivery, resource allocation, and compliance with customer and organizational goals.
