Personal Assistant for a 28-Year-Old Guy in Habo

Our client is a 28-year-old guy living in his own apartment in central Habo, but also spends some time at his parents' home in the countryside outside of Habo. As an assistant, you will be part of a wonderful team of assistants working in double assistance and making a difference for our client every day.

About the Position

Our client has a developmental disability, autism, and epilepsy with several seizures daily, which means he requires constant supervision. He enjoys animals and nature, playing video games, and listening to music. We are looking for someone who retains a childlike spirit and can play and interact with the client at his level. As an assistant, you will work a lot to motivate activities and be a support in all daily events; personal care is also part of the job. In this assistant group, we work with low-arousal approaches; if you have previous experience with this, it is an advantage; otherwise, you will learn the methods from your colleagues during shadowing.

Requirements

You, as an assistant, are very important for our client to live an independent and good life on his own terms. To ensure that you both enjoy your time together and make daily life function, we believe that you are a flexible and positive person who enjoys working with people, can work independently, and is prepared to take on significant responsibility. You can remain calm in various situations and feel secure in your professional role. Previous experience as a personal assistant or similar work is desirable. Since our client enjoys living an active life, you should be in good physical condition, as occasional lifting may occur.

The work is based at home and in daily activities. There are opportunities to borrow the family's car for outings. Public transport to the parents' home is lacking, so it is desirable that you have a driver's license. There is double assistance during all waking hours, so you need to enjoy working in a team and be able to collaborate with your colleagues. The job includes both outings, walks in nature, and also sitting on the couch playing video games and other games with the client.

Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required. To be considered for the position, you must be smoke-free. A dog sometimes resides in the home, so you should not be allergic.

• Two part-time positions of about 80%
