The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) Region Dalarna offers specialist care for children and adolescents up to 18 years old with more severe mental health issues and/or neuropsychiatric disabilities. There is now an opportunity for you as a licensed psychologist to become part of our team at the BUP clinic in Ludvika.

Our area of operation is broad and encompasses issues such as trauma, depression, self-harm, anxiety, compulsions, eating disorders, sleep disorders, and disabilities such as ADHD and autism. We work transprofessionally to provide the best assessments and care for our children and adolescents. BUP Region Dalarna consists of five outpatient clinics and shared regional resources with an emergency team, ward 68 for inpatient care, a family therapy unit, and the eating disorder unit, Tornet, all of which are under a common operations manager.

The BUP clinic in Ludvika is located at Ludvika Hospital. The clinic has pleasant facilities in a calm environment. Here, a warm, cheerful professional team works with nurses, social workers, psychologists, doctors, occupational therapists, medical secretaries, and a manager.

As a psychologist with us, you will work with:

• neuropsychiatric assessments of children and adolescents in collaboration with other professional categories
• assessment of mental health issues within specialist psychiatry
• psychological treatment, primarily CBT, individually and possibly in groups
• participation in team conferences and collaboration with guardians, schools, and other stakeholders

You will be part of a knowledgeable and supportive team where we work to provide children and adolescents with the best possible care.

Requirements:

• Licensed psychologist
• At least CBT level 1 training (basic psychotherapy training)
• Experience with neuropsychiatric assessments

To succeed in the role, you need to be confident, have good collaboration skills, be structured yet flexible when needed. You meet children and families where they are and instill trust. You enjoy challenges and taking responsibility in patient matters. You want to help create a good working environment and contribute ideas for operational development. We also appreciate your interest in the development and quality assurance of interventions/follow-ups aimed at the target group. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
