The Women's Clinic in Falun is the county's only maternity clinic. At the Maternity/Gynecology department, we care for new mothers and newborns, as well as patients with gynecological care needs. The operations also include a maternity outpatient clinic and a postpartum clinic, where we offer follow-up and support after discharge.

Here, we work evidence-based and person-centered - focusing on safe care, good treatment, and close collaboration in teams.

Summer Temporary Position Midwife/Nurse

As a midwife/nurse with us at the Maternity/Gynecology department, you will work with:

• Care and support for new mothers and newborns
• Follow-up on breastfeeding, pain, health, and recovery after childbirth
• Collaboration in teams with nursing assistants, doctors, and other professionals
• Contributing to safety, continuity, and good care quality for each family
• Gynecological care, observation, and treatment for both acute and planned care needs.

The department also cares for patients with gynecological care needs, including women undergoing investigation or treatment for gynecological cancer. We have a close collaboration with our cytology clinic, which is responsible for sampling, counseling, and follow-up.

Healthy mothers and babies often stay at the patient hotel or go home early. Follow-up occurs through our Postpartum clinic, which you may also participate in depending on the needs of the operation.

We are looking for someone who:

• is a licensed midwife or licensed nurse
• has a genuine interest in women's health, postpartum care, and/or gynecological care
• enjoys working both independently and in teams
• has a good ability to prioritize and create safety in meetings with patients and relatives

It is advantageous if you have:

• experience from maternity, gynecology, or postpartum care
• experience in emergency care
• experience working in teams with multiple professions
