On ward 34, you will meet children and adolescents aged 0-18 with both acute and chronic health conditions. We are the "small hospital" within the larger one, which means that children with diagnoses in many different areas such as medicine, surgery, and orthopedics are cared for in the ward. The medical care includes, for example, newly diagnosed diabetes, oncology, and neurology. As a nurse on ward 34, you will be a significant part of pediatric care, which often means supporting the whole family in various situations. We work in a care pair of nurse/nursing assistant and have 12 care places. We have close cooperation with doctors, dietitians, social workers, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. The ward also includes play therapy with two cheerful play therapists. We also have access to the hospital school with associated teachers.

It is important that you feel safe and secure. With us, you will receive an individually tailored onboarding process based on your previous experiences. We offer onboarding together with skilled colleagues, and during daytime, there are section leaders available to support new nurses and nursing assistants. We are an open, close-knit group striving forward. We place great importance on professional development and have regular internal training in various relevant areas. We also conduct emergency room exercises (CEPS) with simulations of emergency cases, A-CPR for children, and S-CPR for children, as well as equipment and routine reviews.

Requirements

• Licensed nurse.

Desirable

• Previous experience in pediatric care.

Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities and suitability.

Extent: Rotation day/evening/night/weekend.
