As a summer substitute with us at Folktandvården Dalarna, you will receive an introduction and guidance at the clinic where you are employed.

When you work with us during the summer, you will participate in various treatments, meet many patients, and learn more about your future profession. As a summer worker, you are part of the team and work according to the guidelines and routines that exist at the clinic.

For those studying to become dentists, we offer summer jobs as dental nurses after semester 4. If you have completed nine semesters in dental studies, you can apply for a job as a dentist with a temporary license (issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare). As a summer-working dentist with us, you will have a supervisor, and your tasks will be adapted to your level of education and the clinic's needs.

As a summer-working dentist at Folktandvården Region Dalarna, you will have the opportunity to visit our Guidance Clinic Origo in Falun. The clinic serves as a valuable complement to the guidance you receive at your home clinic during a permanent employment and is part of our efforts to provide all future dentists with equal opportunities for a safe and good start in the profession. The Guidance Clinic Origo offers an introductory program for permanently employed dentists and dental hygienists, tailored to individual needs.

Our clinics are located in Idre, Älvdalen, Orsa, Mora, Rättvik, Leksand, Svärdsjö, Falun, Sälen, Malung, Vansbro, Gagnef, Borlänge, Säter, Hedemora, Avesta, Ludvika, Smedjebacken. Please indicate in your application which semester you are studying and if you wish for a specific placement. Start date summer 2026.

We are looking for someone who:

• is studying to become a dentist and has completed at least four semesters.
• is attentive, communicative, and enjoys working in a team.
• interacts with both patients and colleagues in a smooth and respectful manner.
• considers care and service as a natural part of the job and involves the patient in treatment options.
• has a good ability to organize and prioritize your tasks.
• is proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written.

We place great importance on personal suitability and appreciate a positive and engaged attitude.

The recruitment process begins in January, and we conduct interviews and appointments continuously. Our goal is to have all summer vacancies filled by week 18, which means that you who are relevant for employment will be contacted before then.
