Welcome to work as a junior doctor with us at the Palliative Clinic in Region Dalarna!

The specialized palliative care has been a county-wide clinic since 2012, with seven teams covering all of Dalarna - from Idre in the north to Avesta in the south. There is also a palliative care ward. Teamwork is central to us - all professional categories contribute to creating safe, professional, and person-centered care for patients and their relatives. The ward has 8 beds where patients with advanced cancer or other serious illnesses are cared for. Patients often have complex symptoms and a great need for comprehensive care.

As a junior doctor, you will:

• Work closely and under the supervision of an experienced doctor.
• Participate in the daily operations of the ward.
• Contribute to rounds and care planning.
• Collaborate closely with nurses, nursing assistants, and other care providers.

With us, you will have an interesting, developing, and educational everyday life where you are an important part of the care of patients with complex, often life-threatening diseases. Working hours and extent: Full-time. 40 hours/week. Daytime.

Requirements:

• You are studying to become a doctor and have completed semester 9 including all courses, or you are a licensed doctor.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing (at least level C).

Meritorious:

• Previous experience working in palliative care.
• Experience with the journal system Cosmic.

Personal qualities:

• Good communicative and empathetic abilities.
• Professional attitude, flexibility, and good collaboration skills.
