Your Workplace

The hospital in Torsby is an acute hospital with, among other things, two care departments, dialysis, and integrated intensive care (IVA) / intermediate care (IMA). The hospital is relatively small, but has a wide catchment area and is 11 miles from the Central Hospital in Karlstad. This means that the range of diseases is varied and broad, and you will quickly gain good knowledge in the diagnosis and treatment of the most common diseases.

The health center is part of primary care, which is the foundation of healthcare in Värmland and offers care at all stages of life. At the health center, our patients receive assessment, investigation, treatment, follow-up, and rehabilitation depending on illness and symptoms. Eight out of ten patients are treated successfully with us.

Your Responsibilities

We are looking for nurses for summer temporary positions in 2026 with good opportunities for permanent employment!

As a summer temporary employee, you will receive an introduction to your position and the opportunity for mentoring support. We believe that healthcare must be based on our patients' needs and the competence of our staff.

As a nurse, you will lead and be responsible for the daily care around the patient and perform common nursing tasks such as medication management and care work. In the daily meeting with the patient, you have an important role in collaboration with other staff categories.

Your Skills and Competences

You are a licensed nurse or expected to receive your license by spring/summer 2026.

This means that you are easy to collaborate with, take responsibility for your tasks, and are flexible. Your working method is patient-focused with an ability for a holistic view.
