Who are we?

The health and medical care organization (HS) within special housing is divided into four areas. We are currently looking for an occupational therapist for areas 1 and 5. Each area consists of teams of nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. The responsibility area within area 5 includes 5 special housing facilities with permanent places.

In HS organization 5 consists of Jurslavägen 31, Katrineholmsvägen 5, Valhallavägen 1A, Generalsgatan 9, and St. Persgatan 134.

The team's task is to plan, lead, execute, and develop municipal health and medical care together with the responsible manager. We work based on Norrköping Municipality's values that the elderly should be involved in their own care and that their needs should be met as much as possible.

Together with other employees, you are responsible for ensuring that patients receive quality of life with good and safe care and participate in the unit's work on quality and patient safety development.

Your tasks

As an occupational therapist, you have a health and medical care assignment for patients living in special housing. You are part of a team consisting of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nurses, and care staff, where you primarily work with rehabilitative and compensatory measures.

You are responsible for activity assessments, needs investigations, and prescribing aids as well as treatment orders. The goal is to provide the patient with a dignified and stimulating life with influence over their daily life by maintaining, improving, or developing the patient's abilities.

You guide, support, and educate care staff and patients, and in some cases their relatives.

Your work also includes planning and leading health and medical care interventions, and you actively participate in teamwork, conferences, etc., regarding various patients.

Documentation takes place in the operational system Combine.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are an occupational therapist and have experience in the profession.

You have experience in prescribing aids, treatment, and training of individuals with cognitive and communicative disabilities. Experience in palliative care and dementia care is an advantage.

To thrive in the role, we see that you are creative and find solutions to problems in various ways.

You can plan and organize your work effectively and easily adapt to changing circumstances while continuously maintaining your knowledge. You are self-driven and have good collaboration skills.

We also appreciate that you are service-oriented and make an effort to find solutions that benefit both patients and the organization.

A manual transmission driver's license is required.
