The Physiology Clinic at Vrinnevisjukhuset in Norrköping is a clinic within the Heart Center, Region Östergötland. Our goal is to conduct modern clinical physiological diagnostics with high quality and good accessibility.

Job Description

The operations consist largely of cardiovascular ultrasound diagnostics such as echocardiography, transthoracic and transesophageal, pediatric echocardiography, and vascular ultrasound. We also perform preoperative investigations. Currently, we do not have regular on-call operations. In addition to the ultrasound operations, traditional clinical physiological diagnostics such as exercise and lung physiological examinations are performed, and implementation of ergospirometry is planned. Neurophysiological examinations, EEG, and sleep apnea are performed by our biomedical analysts. We have a close collaboration with the hospital's cardiology clinic, children's clinic, and vascular reception.

Work Group

At the clinic, we are about 30 employees, including clinical physiologists, currently five resident physicians in clinical physiology, biomedical analysts, nursing assistants, and administrative staff.

About You

We are looking for you who are a specialist physician in clinical physiology or cardiology. Experienced resident physicians are also welcome to apply. You should have a strong interest in clinical physiology and practical experience in echocardiography is a requirement. Interest and experience in teaching, supervision, improvement, and quality work are meritorious, as well as previous research experience.

As you work in constant dialogue with patients, relatives, colleagues, and other operations, it is a requirement that you have very good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

You are responsible, flexible, and have a good ability to lead teams through good collaboration and communication skills. You take initiative and see opportunities for change, believe that change work is important, and want to actively participate in the clinic's future development. You enjoy teaching different professional categories, students, and supervising physicians in training. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
