The Municipal Executive Administration leads the municipality's development on behalf of the Municipal Executive Board. We are now looking for a constructive person with good coordination and leadership skills who wants to contribute to a safe and sustainable society. Piteå is a municipality with low crime, high safety, and strong collaboration. We are looking for someone who wants to further develop crime prevention efforts according to the new law on municipal responsibilities – and at the same time coordinate efforts within ANDTS (alcohol, narcotics, doping, tobacco, and gambling). Your assignment may also include other cross-municipal social issues.

The position is located in the Department of Sustainability and Society.

Job Responsibilities

The job responsibilities largely consist of strategic and cross-municipal assignments with a focus on social sustainability that is significant for community development. This includes coordinating assignments related to crime prevention work, ANDTS issues, and other cross-municipal issues that touch on social sustainability.

In your role, you will follow up and develop the work with a focus on long-term impact.

As a development strategist, you play a key role in mapping and analyzing crime and safety. You are responsible for producing situational reports and action plans related to crime prevention efforts according to the law's requirements, and you coordinate collaboration forums with actors such as the police, civil society, business, and politics.

As a development strategist focusing on social sustainability, you report directly to the head of the Department of Sustainability and Society.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree, for example in social sciences, public health, or criminology, or other experience from similar assignments. A prerequisite for thriving and succeeding in your role is that you have a trustworthy, attentive, and communicative working style.

We place great importance on personal abilities such as social competence, pedagogical skills, the ability to build relationships, and collaborate with others. You are structured and meticulous with the ability to plan and prioritize as well as analyze and follow up on work.

It is advantageous if you have experience in project management and process work, preferably within social sustainability, and have experience in operational governance, cross-professional collaboration, and networking.
