We are now looking for a buyer for Swerock and Peab Asfalt – become a key player in Region North!

In the role of buyer with us, you will be an important part of Region North where you will be responsible for the tactical and strategic purchasing work for the region and closely collaborate with both internal colleagues and external suppliers. Together with a close-knit group of four buyers, who enjoy working closely together and support each other daily, you will have a workplace with a good atmosphere and strong team spirit.

Your main tasks include monitoring purchasing statistics, credit assessments, and compliance with laws and regulations. You will lead negotiations and work with contract issues while driving the development of purchasing processes in the region and the company. Your immediate manager Patrik is a present leader who supports you even remotely, and together with the regional manager, you create a dynamic and effective work environment.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is business-minded, communicative, and has a strong desire to drive purchasing work forward. You are skilled at building and maintaining relationships and thrive in a role where you work both independently and in a team. With your curiosity and open attitude, you contribute to a positive and developing work environment.

To succeed in this role, you have:

• A civil or university engineering degree in construction and civil engineering with several years of purchasing experience, or a qualified purchasing education at the university level or vocational training
• At least 3 years of experience in tactical and/or strategic purchasing work
• Experience from the industry, or from the construction and civil engineering sector is an advantage
• Good knowledge of the Office suite and very good Swedish and English in both spoken and written form
• A valid driver's license and flexibility for travel and overnight stays within the region

A permanent position, with a 6-month probationary period, where you can influence and develop the purchasing work in a stable and forward-looking organization. We offer a stimulating work environment with engaged colleagues and management that values presence and support – even remotely.

The preferred location is Sundsvall, Umeå, or Luleå.

Our operations extend across the entire northern region, and you can therefore work from any of our other office locations within the region where Swerock and/or Peab Asfalt are active.
