Grosvadsskolan is a school for grades 7-9 with approximately 370 students, divided into 15 classes. The school is located in the center of Finspång with nature right outside the door. The school consists of two interconnected buildings and has a passage to the swimming pool, sports, and recreational facilities.

The school's approximately 40 teachers, student health team, and resources are divided into three grade teams. You will be part of one of these teams. Grosvadsskolan works to provide our students with tools for lifelong learning, the knowledge requirements in the national governing documents, social competence, communicative competence, and problem-solving ability.

Your future tasks

In your position as a special educator, you will work proactively and preventively at the school, group, and individual levels based on students' needs and conditions. You will collaborate with educators, guardians, students, and external actors. You will be involved in ensuring that routines, structures, and follow-ups of the school's student health work are implemented. You will be an active part of the school's student health team.

You will have close collaboration with colleagues in your team and work closely with the team's teaching assistant as well as with the school's student health team and safety team.

The role also includes

Collaboration with colleagues and the student health team on pedagogical and social issues to contribute to our students' safety, well-being, and achievement of goals. You will participate in designing instruction for students in need of special support, planning, implementation, and evaluation of teaching, and also to some extent the design of their learning environment. You will conduct pedagogical assessments, plan and follow up on measures, and document according to applicable governing documents. Your operational work with students may involve individual teaching or teaching in smaller groups, or providing support in the classroom. Observations of the learning environment in regular teaching may be included.

Who are you?

We are looking for a licensed teacher with a special education degree. We would like you to be interested in and have experience with language-developing methods in the multilingual classroom. You are confident in your leadership, have the ability to engage and challenge students, and have the knowledge to meet the differences of all students. You have a positive attitude, are creative, proactive, and at the same time structured. You are solution-focused and have a flexible working style. You build good relationships and approach collaboration with others in a responsive and humble manner, seeing the value of working in a team.

In close collaboration with colleagues who want to develop, we utilize each other's competencies to help our students succeed in their learning. You believe in every student's ability to succeed and have clear goals and planning for the teaching that you design and implement so that all students are given the opportunity to develop and learn. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language both in speech and writing.
