Ludvika Health Center has approximately 15,500 registered patients and is one of two region-operated health centers in Ludvika municipality.

At the health center, specialists in general medicine, resident doctors, interns, assistant doctors, district nurses, nurses, specialist nurses, nursing assistants, psychotherapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, rehab coordinators, mental health care coordinators, and medical secretaries work.

The health center is located at Ludvika Hospital, and the nearest emergency department is in Falun. At Ludvika Hospital, there is a Primary Care Emergency Unit that receives patients seeking urgent care from the entire area. There is also a Mobile Team that conducts home visits for patients who have difficulty getting to the health center.

We are now looking for a temporary assistant doctor as our current assistant doctor has received a placement for residency. Start date according to agreement.

As a temporary assistant doctor with us, you will have a stimulating and varied job in a safe and learning environment. You will receive supervision from experienced district doctors and have the opportunity to develop both professionally and personally.

The work is varied and includes patients of all ages and life situations. You will work independently at the clinic with both planned and urgent assessments. Your tasks also include clinic visits focusing on basic checks, especially in asthma/COPD and hypertension. There is always an experienced colleague available for consultation if needed.

You have good opportunities to influence your schedule and booking calendar. There is also the possibility of some remote work with administrative tasks, digital patient meetings, telephone advice, and participation in our pilot project for self-monitoring. In the self-monitoring project, patients who need continuous follow-up for a certain period, for example, when starting or adjusting blood pressure or heart failure medication, are monitored. The patient uses an app along with, for example, a blood pressure monitor, blood glucose meter, or scale to conduct their checks from home. All contact between the patient and the healthcare provider occurs smoothly via the app's chat function, where all of the patient's vital parameters are visible.

You are a licensed assistant doctor or have completed your medical degree.

It is important that you master the Swedish language in both spoken and written form (C1 level).

It is an advantage if you have knowledge of Cosmic.

You should have an interest in primary care and preferably previous experience working at a health center or another clinic. You have good communication skills and can collaborate with others but also work independently and make your own decisions. You have good empathetic skills, a professional approach, and a good attitude. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
