IT Technician for the IT Operations Department in Arboga

The Position

We are looking for an IT Technician to join our team at the IT Operations Department in Arboga. As an employee of the IT Operations Department, you will be part of an important societal mission with many exciting areas of operation, and you will have the opportunity to make a real difference.

We continuously work on developing our staff through further education. Wellness is a natural part of our everyday life, and you have three hours of training during work hours each week to utilize. You have the option of flexible working hours and vacation of 28-35 days depending on your age.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operation and maintenance of Windows Server environments.
  • Management of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other Windows Server-related services.
  • Some administration and troubleshooting of Linux servers.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting server performance and network issues.
  • Installation and configuration of software and hardware.
  • Backup and restoration of data.
  • Documentation of system configurations and changes.
  • Support to users and resolution of technical problems.
  • Participate in projects for upgrades and new implementations.

Qualifications:

  • At least three years of experience in Windows server administration.
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and group policies.
  • Understanding of network architecture and common protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
  • Fluent in Swedish and good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
  • Driver's license for manual car is required.
  • Swedish citizenship is required.

Desirable:

  • Experience in operation, administration, and troubleshooting of Linux servers.
  • Experience in operation, administration, and troubleshooting of Citrix platforms.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies and infrastructure, such as VMware.
  • Experience with PowerShell.
  • Experience with the operations of the Armed Forces.
  • Experience working according to ITIL.

Other

On-call duty in the evenings and weekends occurs 5-10 times a year once you have gained sufficient knowledge in the job. Selection and interviews will take place after the application period has ended. Permanent employment, full-time (six months probationary period applies).
