About the Department

Physiotherapy Östra is one of 7 units within the Department of Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy at Sahlgrenska University Hospital. Approximately 370 employees work within the department, of which 35 are at Physiotherapy Östra.

At Östra Hospital, physiotherapeutic activities are conducted in both inpatient and outpatient care. The clinical mission is broad and includes work within the hospital's various medical areas such as surgery, medicine, infection, women's health, chronic pain, as well as GUCH and cardiac rehabilitation. Our main missions are to conduct clinical activities, education, and research.

What do we offer?

We are expanding staffing within inpatient acute rehabilitation and offer a varied and flexible job with opportunities for deep and broad development. The work is located in several different clinics such as medicine, surgery, and infection, as well as a small part in the area of women's health. We have a good collaboration within the workgroup and welcome you to our unit!

Job Responsibilities

The physiotherapeutic work within acute rehabilitation is conducted both in the acute phase and in the rehabilitation phase. As a physiotherapist on the ward, you will perform physiotherapeutic assessment and treatment of the patient. You will follow up and evaluate medical treatments from a physiotherapeutic perspective and plan for upcoming needs for rehabilitative interventions. You will be part of an active collaboration with the patient's other caregivers at the hospital.

You will be active in developing and driving the physiotherapeutic work forward concerning patient groups and be involved in ongoing research and development projects.

About You

You are a licensed physiotherapist. As a person, you are curious, flexible, and responsible. You find it easy to collaborate and treat others with care and respect. You are interested in development work, both in patient care and within the organization. Previous work experience from Sahlgrenska University Hospital (SU) and SU's various administrative systems is an advantage. Other work experience is also meritorious. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
