About the Role

We are looking for a new colleague to the Cost Management section within our market area Building & Project Solutions.

The market area Building & Project Solutions focuses on being by our clients' side and helping them with their biggest challenges at various stages of the construction process. We do this within our areas of expertise: Information Excellence, Projects Solutions, Project Management, Construction Management, and Cost Management.

AFRY Cost & Construction Management is market-leading in Sweden in cost estimation and financial management of projects, including civil engineering, construction, and installation. We carry out approximately 500 assignments annually, consisting of consulting, cost assessments, calculations, cost control, cost follow-up, and cost optimization. Our work enables cost optimization and creates predictability for our clients and their finances.

We are now looking for a Cost Engineer to the Cost Management section, located at one of our offices in Skåne.

You will work with us to develop the organization and enable new positioning in the market. Within our market area, we are all passionate about our fields and share our knowledge to grow and learn more.

In the role of Cost Engineer, you will drive assignments within your area of expertise. Through analysis and calculations, you will be a reliable advisor for our clients, such as builders, investors, and contractors, enabling well-informed decisions. In your role, you will work with calculations at all stages of a construction project and identify and manage risks and opportunities.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who wants to take the next step in their personal development and has experience from the construction industry. You currently work as a cost engineer. You have previous experience with some cost estimation tools and quantity takeoff programs, such as BidCon and Bluebeam. You are accustomed to handling 3D/BIM models as a tool in your daily work with programs like Solibri or Navisworks. You also have knowledge and a strong interest in sustainability, as we work with tools to manage and reduce climate impact as a natural part of the projects we undertake.

As a person, you have good social skills and are motivated by having a large network where you create long-lasting and sustainable relationships. Furthermore, we see that you are meticulous and have the ability to see both details and the big picture. You enjoy working in a team but also have the ability to work independently. You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as required by our clients, and a B driver's license.
