ABOUT THE POSITION

As a mechanical designer at Interspiro, you will be a key player in the development of advanced products for firefighting. You will work with new development and detailed design as well as further development of existing products, where your technical expertise and practical approach are crucial for driving the products forward. The role involves close collaboration with R&D, testing lab, product owners, and quality teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Responsibilities

As a mechanical designer, you will work with both new development and detailed design of life-critical equipment for firefighting. You will be responsible for creating drawings, prototypes, and contributing to solving technical challenges, from concept to finished product. The role requires a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical hands-on ability in close collaboration with colleagues and other departments internally.

  • Drive new product development from concept to finished product
  • Establish detailed design, primarily for injection-molded plastic components but also for thermoformed and machined metal
  • Create and review drawings
  • Actively contribute with hands-on work in the testing lab with prototypes and testing
  • Collaborate with the quality team to solve emerging issues
  • Participate in cross-functional teams with R&D, testing lab, product owners, and quality teams

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

  • Has an education as a mechanical engineer or equivalent work experience.
  • Preferably has 5 years of experience in product development and design.
  • Is fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is advantageous if you have:

  • Advanced knowledge in plastic design and surface modeling.
  • Practical experience and a genuine interest in working hands-on with products.
  • The ability to work independently and solution-oriented.
