Folkuniversitetet's course activities offer courses and lectures in areas such as languages, economics, creative arts, writing, health, and sustainable development. A large part of our activities consists of study circles and cultural events. We are now looking for a circle leader in Italian.

About the position
For example, the course activities offer evening courses in areas such as languages, art, and dance in Linköping. We have courses on weekends and evenings from January to May and September to December.
We do not have the opportunity to offer distance courses.

Main responsibilities
- Teach Italian to adult beginners and advanced learners.

- Plan for each class session.

- Basic administrative tasks before and after class sessions, such as recording attendance and writing a few lines about what was done in each class session in our administrative system E-Tjänsten.

Your skills and background
We are looking for someone with excellent knowledge of Italian and an interest in cultural and social issues related to Italy. You should also have good knowledge of Swedish. It is an advantage if you have education and experience in teaching adults or other experience in leading groups.

Qualifications
- Expertise in Italian or work experience in the subject.
- Basic computer and internet skills.
- Experience in teaching adults is an advantage.

Courses start in February 2026.

We want you, as a language teacher, to have the language you teach as your mother tongue or to speak it at a native level. Most of our teachers teach in their mother tongue and are therefore also a source of knowledge about the country's culture and society. If you do not have the teaching language as your mother tongue, we want you to have lived for a longer period in a country where the language is spoken. As an educator at Folkuniversitetet, you are expected to have the ability to tailor teaching to individuals and bring out each individual's potential.
It is important that you enjoy sharing knowledge and see the positive in course participants' development. You are flexible, attentive, and structured, and have experience working independently. We also expect you to share our view on the equal value of all people and the right to knowledge.
