Ottobock Care is currently a general contractor for orthopedic technical services in the Uppsala region. We work with all types of orthopedic aids and the work is carried out in close collaboration with healthcare through, among other things, team cooperation.

About us

You will be part of a group of dedicated employees whose work aims to improve the quality of life for people by enhancing their mobility and independence. We work with all types of orthopedic aids, and the foundation of our operations is our collaboration with other healthcare professionals and the teamwork conducted within pediatric/adult rehabilitation, diabetes teams, and prosthetic teams.

You will be part of a team of orthopedic engineers, orthopedic technicians, physiotherapists, and receptionists with extensive experience. Your tasks will be adapted based on your knowledge and experience as well as the needs of the organization.

The position is a permanent full-time employment based in Uppsala. Working hours are according to schedule, daytime. The position is available immediately by agreement. We have a collective agreement which means you are covered by collectively agreed insurances.

If you are a recent graduate from the Orthopedic Engineering program, you will have the opportunity to participate in a 2-year introductory program with us. As an orthopedic engineer with us, you can also apply for a place in one of our competency teams.

About you

You take independent responsibility for your tasks, drive your own processes, and ensure they are completed. You work proactively, independently, and turn ideas into practical action. In collaboration with others, you contribute your knowledge and experience while being attentive and respectful, always considering the best interests of the group.

You are proficient in both Swedish and English and have good computer skills.

Licensure and a degree from the Orthopedic Engineering program or equivalent is a requirement for your application to be considered. Exceptions apply to those who are recent graduates and have not yet received licensure from the National Board of Health and Welfare.
