About the assignment

We are now looking for a Buyer for our client in Stockholm who operates within the public sector at their office in Stockholm, Solna. The assignment is full-time starting October 29 and is expected to last approximately 3-4 months. The work includes full-time during office hours Monday to Friday. This is a consulting assignment via Bemannia.

Your responsibilities

In the role of buyer, you will be responsible for identifying needs, conducting orders and direct procurements of goods and services on behalf of the hospital's various operations. You will work category-oriented in one or more categories and conduct analyses, develop strategies, carry out renewed competitive bidding, manage procurement and contract administration, and manage contracts. The work involves both teamwork with the category team and independent purchasing and procurement work. The role is therefore broad and requires both collaboration and analytical skills as well as personal effectiveness.

Furthermore, your responsibilities will include:

  • Actively participate in the department's upcoming development programs and support the healthcare operations with information and training regarding procurement issues
  • The work involves many outward-facing contacts, at various levels, with both representatives of the hospital's healthcare operations and suppliers and various support functions within the region. In the role of buyer, you can expect a varied job with at times a high pace and a lot of room for personal responsibility
  • Initiated the implementation of category management, which means a structured approach to purchasing aimed at working more strategically and comprehensively to streamline the hospital's procurement.

Your qualifications

  • Education at least at the post-secondary level, preferably university or vocational college with a focus on procurement/purchasing, economics or law, or other education and experience deemed equivalent
  • Practical experience in procurement or operational purchasing work
  • Good knowledge of the Public Procurement Act (LOU)
  • Very good ability to communicate in speech and writing in Swedish
  • Very good ability to read and understand complex documents
  • Very good computer skills, especially in procurement and purchasing systems as well as the Office suite
  • Experience in renewed competitive bidding

Meritorious

  • Experience in procurement or operational purchasing work from the public sector
  • Experience in category management
  • Project management experience
